The dream of owning a farm started when I was a little girl growing up on my grandparents farm. The love of farming was poured into my blood. Being in the barn with the animals was my happy place it’s where I would find peace. Riding my horses gave me wings to touch the sky. Once true peace and freedom is tasted it’s something you seek.
Life takes you on so many roads but there is usually a road that you always long for. That road is farming for me. Through twists and turns and leaving farm life for a long time I have been so blessed to be able to return. God’s goodness is an amazing thing!
I met my wonderful husband who was the complete opposite of what you think of when you think of farming. After some persuading I convinced him to go with me to the Pennsylvania Farm Show. There the seeds of farming were planted. My unexpected love for goats was planted. We attended the farm show for several years and of course visited the local fairs. Each of these encounters with farm life was watering the seeds. One day the seeds started to sprout and when I approached him about getting back into horses he agreed. I was able to buy my first horse in 10 years.
Our first daughter was born with several medical issues. As it would turn out just 3 months after we were finally able to bring our baby home from the hospital my horse had a freak accident and had to be put down. I thought I had lost the farm life again. However, nothing is a loss when God is involved! He knows how to turn those losses into something beautiful.
Fast forward time and our second daughter made her entrance into the world. A few more years down the road the girls were a little older. We started visiting fairs again and going back to the Pa farm show. The sprouts that had to lay dormant started growing again! This time it wasn’t a slow grow it was like miracle grow was infused into them. Those sprouts sky rocketed toward the sky. One thing led to another and we were able to buy the girls their first horse.
Shortly after that life took another turn and my husband was transferred for work again this time to Atlanta. Since I was a 6 year old little girl I wanted my own farm. For 34 years of ups and downs I prayed and waited for this moment. My husbands seeds that were growing at such a rapid pace came to bloom and we bought our farm. It’s been a hard but wonderful journey. I can only say that as God has been in control the whole time. We brought our horse with us and shortly after we moved in we purchased another one. After the horses came the goats. We love our goats and haven‘t wasted any time diving right in to raising a quality herd.
In 2021 we were blessed and welcomed the first little ones on our farm. Through some ups and downs we finally were able to get them in the show pen. To our surprise they have done well and we're excited in the direction of our breeding program. We are striving to breed a great quality animal that is structurally sound to stand the test of time, fill our milk buckets, have a great demeanor and be pleasing to the eye.

They will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss; bearing fruit in every season of their lives. They are never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.
